à la Archduke Max Yenko
I am planning on doing a similar version (maybe changing the background, dimensions) in vinyl. Has anybody tried this before?

That is lovely.
On a side note, I was at the local bar for hapoy hour last week and when I was out back smoking with my buddy, we heard a loud ass machine pull up outaide. It was an old Kawasaki done up as cafe racer, in orange with light blue accents outlining a checkered flag patter on the tank. When I saw the orange and blue, my first thought was Gulf even though the colors were reversed. So we start chatting with he guy and I mention how I love the colors and he says how he showed the guy who painted it some pictures of vintage race cars. So I said "Gulf, right?" He was pretty impressed haha. Gotta love Gulf colors.
